Why Airtable Automations Only Show 10 Records in “Find Records”

If you are using Airtable’s Find records action in an automation, you might notice that it only returns 10 records during testing, even when your conditions clearly match more than that.

You may wonder if this is a limitation of the Free plan or if something is wrong with your setup.

The good news is that nothing is wrong with your automation.

The Reason

Airtable doesn’t clearly mention this anywhere, but when you test or preview an automation that uses Find records, Airtable only shows up to 10 records in the test results.

This limit is just for the preview and does not affect how the automation actually runs.

When the automation runs for real (not in test mode), Airtable will find all the matching records, not just 10.

So if your condition is set correctly, your automation will still work exactly as expected once it is active.
