How to Fix Calendar Embed Views Defaulting to Month View in Airtable

When you embed an Airtable calendar view on a website, it might not match the view you set inside your base.

For example, if your original calendar is set to Week View, the embedded version often defaults back to Month View. This can be frustrating when you want to display a focused weekly schedule or team calendar.

Here’s how to fix it.

The Solution

Fortunately, there’s a simple setting that controls this.

Follow these steps:

  • In your calendar view, click Share view at the top right.

  • Open Link Settings.

    Link settings

  • Find the Default calender timescale option.

  • Choose how you want the embedded view to appear — Week, Month, or 3-Day View.

    TimeScale Option

After updating the timescale, your embedded calendar will display exactly as you set it, rather than defaulting back to the month layout.

Finally, copy the updated embed link or iframe code and paste it wherever you want the calendar to appear.
